The Chinese toy market is flourishing as parents are purchasing more toys, which help develop their children’s brains and skillsets, according to the DITP’s press release, on July 19.
“Thai producers and exporters should study the demand of the market before planning to export products. The quality and safety of toys must be prioritised,” Ketsuree Vijaranakorn, from DITP’s office in Qingdao, China, said. “Online marketing is important because it will help Thai entrepreneurs to better reach the target customer.”
Data from the China Toy & Juvenile Product Association showed that the toy market was valued at RMB70.5 billion (US$10.2 billion) in 2018, a 9% increase year-on-year.
