THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2023: Unleashes Global Food Industry Frenzy
THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2023, held from May 23rd to 27th, 2023, at the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Thailand, was a resounding success. The event showcased a remarkable gathering of 3,034 exhibitors, including 1,109 domestic and 1,925 international companies from 45 countries. China led the pack with 620 companies, followed by South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Japan. The exhibition also attracted an impressive total of 131,039 visitors, marking a remarkable 57.63% increase on the previous year.
THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2023’s significance in the global food industry was evident in the astonishing trade value of 3.45 billion dollars reflecting a phenomenal growth of 81.36%. During the trade days negotiations, the trade value contributed 3.44 billion dollars, while the final day’s retail sales added 8.48 million dollars. Fine food, fruit and vegetables, food technology, coffee and tea, and food service emerged as the top five zones attracting enthusiastic buyers. China, Thailand, the United States, Malaysia and Japan placed the most orders.
Aside from the exhibition, THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2023 featured captivating side events. The Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge showcased the remarkable skills of more than 700 professional and amateur chefs from nine countries, while the Future Food Experience+ exhibition provided a glimpse into the future of the industry with 101 innovative food concepts.
