Thai Fair Promotes Thai Products in Japan

The DITP’s overseas office in Tokyo joined Beisia to organise a Thai Fair to promote and sell Thai products in 115 branches of the supermarket chain from July 14 to 27.

Thai agricultural products available at the fair were mango, banana, mangosteen, durian, green soybean and baby corn. The fair proved very popular with Japanese consumers.

Beisia has 141 branches in 15 cities across Japan, with more than 100 billion baht (US$3 billion) of annual sales. It imports around 500 million baht (US$15 million) of Thai products each year.

The DITP expects this cooperation will help boost Thai exports to Japan, and make Thai products available for Japanese consumers in secondary cities.
