Thai Coffee Exporters Urged to Focus on Hungary

The DITP is encouraging Thai coffee producers and exporters to tap into Hungary’s love of coffee.

According to a press release dated June 11, the director of DITP’s overseas office in Budapest, Hungary has suggested Thai coffee producers should add value to their products by focusing on quality, identity, aroma and flavour, as well as applying for international standard certification, international awards and building the brand.

Thai coffee exporters are encouraged to investigate potential distribution channels, such as malls and convenience stores.

Hungary imported 124 million baht (US$3.9 million) of raw coffee beans and roasted coffee beans from Thailand in 2019, and 92.7 million baht (US$2.94 million) in 2020.
