Laos Welcomed Back Thai Seafood

Exports of Thai seafood products to Laos are expected to grow by 52.7% to 200 million baht (US$6.41 million) this year, compared with the previous year, as the Laos government has begun importing Thai seafood products again since May 1.

Laos consumers are increasingly purchasing products online due to the country’s lockdown against Covid-19. The landlocked nation has to import seafood from Thailand and other neighbouring countries. Laos people love Thai seafood due to their confidence in the quality of the products.

The DITP will host an event to promote the image of Covid-free Thai seafood in Laos in early September to strengthen consumer confidence and boost demand.
