The People’s Government of Guangdong Province, China, in association with the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Thai government agencies, hosted a seminar on economic cooperation between China (Guangdong) and Thailand at the Athenee Hotel Bangkok on June 11.
At the event, the DITP organised a business matching activity, which sixty Chinese companies attended and discussed business opportunities with Thai businesses.
Moreover, the delegates from Guangdong province went to the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) area to study its potential for tighter cooperation between Guangdong and Thailand, particularly, the link between the EEC and Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) of China.
Bilateral trade between Thailand and Guangdong totalled US$24 billion in 2018.
