The DITP hosted W.I.D.E (World International Direct Export), an online live streaming activity on April 28 to help Thai businesses sell their products internationally.
“The demand for food and agricultural products is increasing globally, and Thailand has high potential [for exports],” DITP Director-General Somdet Susomboon said. “We have positioned Thailand as the Kitchen of the World, and this activity has helped increase export opportunities for Thai businesses as well as maintain Thailand’s market share in the global food market.”
In 2020, Thailand’s total food exports valued at US$34.64 billion, down 4.99% from the previous year. The highest value exported food products included chicken, rice, chilled fruit, frozen fruit and dried fruit. The key exports markets were China, Japan, the US, Vietnam and Cambodia.
