The DITP plans to launch TopThai Flagship Store on Tmall Global to promote and distribute Thai products, particularly personal care products and fashion & lifestyle products on the online platform, targeting Chinese consumers, according to a press release on August 22.
“We expect to promote more than 1,000 SKUs from over 50 Thai brands on this channel. We will run an online marketing campaign to create awareness among consumers and boost sales, as well as having a sales promotion campaign at important Chinese festivals, such as Campaign 11.11 and Singles’ Day,” DITP Deputy Director-General, Wittayakorn Maneenetr, said.
The Department has also coordinated with other online marketplaces, such as Amazon and eBay; B2BBrazil from Brazil; Redmart and ShopJJ from Singapore, Bagantrade from Myanmar, TradeKorea from South Korea and HKTDC from Hong Kong to promote Thai products online.
